Our condos in the North Boardman neighborhood of Traverse City are just a few blocks from the action of downtown, with easy access to the TART Trail and The Boardman Lake. There are plenty of wonderful places to enjoy nearby. Check out a few of our favorites restaurants and shops on the list below, all located near our North Boardman neighborhood townhouses.
Eat
The Filling Station $$

Enjoy beer and wood-fired pizza at this family-friendly location. Stationed in an historic railroad depot with views of the Boardman Lake, the restaurant is right next to the TART trail, making it the perfect stop before or after a bike ride through town.

This easygoing deli is a great lunch spot, offering an array of sandwiches, pasta, soups and more. They stock a wide range of snacks and beverages as well, making it a great place to gather ingredients for a beach picnic or charcuterie board back at the Roost.

This classic diner serves up country-style breakfast and traditional American lunch, and will have you feeling like you took a step back in time. We recommend starting the day here for a perfect greasy spoon breakfast and bottomless coffee.

Silver Spruce Brewing Company $

Wild beer and fermented ales and lagers are all brewed in-house at Silver Spruce. Stop in for a beer or try their house-brewed hard cider. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and you can usually find a food truck parked outside.
The Little Fleet $$

Food trucks and a full bar: what could be better? This spot is hopping in the summer, with an indoor full-service bar and outdoor patio filled with food trucks. They host several events throughout the year, so check their website for more details. They are kid-friendly until 9 pm. In the winter, cozy up at an outdoor firepit or in their heated yurt and enjoy food from their kitchen after 5 pm.

With wonderful coffee and tasty pastries, Mundos is our favorite coffee shop in town. They have three different locations in Traverse City, but their headquarters is right around the corner. Stop in for a quick morning coffee or spend an hour reading in their beautifully-designed shop.

This family-owned bakery has been in the community for generations, and their donuts are worth a visit.

Located right next to our North Boardman rentals, McLain’s Bike Shop offers rentals for all your outdoor-adventure needs. They offer rentals on every kind of bike including kids’ and e-bikes, cross-country skis, and snowshoes. Be sure to stop in before you hit the trails!

If you’d prefer not to grocery shop while traveling, we work with an amazing local delivery service who can deliver groceries to your unit prior to your arrival. You can view their items and schedule a delivery here.
